Born and raised in Paris, Fabien Campoverde discovered his passion for photography when French artist Bertrand Desprez captured his teenage years in a photographic series of his high school in the nineties. The people he meets during his trips to places from Atlanta to Mali over the next decade push him to quit his job as a waiter in the Moulin Rouge and make his passion a profession. A course at the Australian Center of Photography in Sydney helps him launch his career as a professional photographer. After six years of assisting well-known international photographers, he sets off on his own wings in 2009, guided by his sensitive eye. Telling a person's story through one picture, in one posture, with one expression, is what drives his work.
